L-3 Link is a major subcontractor to CSC on the U.S. Army’s Flight School XXI program, which has been designed to help shape aviators’ skills and produce aircrews that are more combat-ready when they arrive at their assigned units.
As the largest supplier of flight simulators to the program, we have delivered or are in the process of final integration on 35 training devices. This includes 17 operational flight trainers (OFTs) and 18 Reconfigurable Collective Training Devices (RCTDs). Flight School XXI is recognized as the largest helicopter simulation training facility in the world.
L-3 Link’s contributions to the program include:
- Building OFTs that simulate UH-60A/L/M, CH-47D/F and OH-58D platforms
- Delivering RCTDs that can be reconfigured to simulate UH-60A/L/M, CH-47D/F, OH-58D and AH-64A/D platforms
- Supplying contractor logistics support on all L-3 Link-built training devices that to date have a record of 99.7 percent availability
- Supporting complex, large-scale pre-deployment Aviation Training Exercises
At L-3 Link we continue to work with the Flight School XXI industry team and U.S. Army customer to provide maximum training capabilities that enable aviators to hone their tactical skills prior to deployment.
