NEW YORK, NY, October 14, 2003 -- L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that its Link Simulation and Training division (Link) and Government Services Inc. subsidiary (L-3 GSI) have been awarded indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) multiple award contracts as qualified suppliers on the U.S. Navy's approximate $3 billion Training Systems Contract II Lot I initiative. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Training Systems Division, based in Orlando, FL, awarded the contracts.

Through 2011, Link and L-3 GSI will have the opportunity to compete on multiple ID/IQ delivery orders that support a wide range of aircrew, maintenance and system specific training initiatives within NAVAIR. Delivery orders awarded under Training Systems Contract II Lot I will call for training design, development, production, modification, evaluation, delivery, product support, and system test and evaluation.
