NEW YORK, NY, July 10, 2006 - L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that its Link Simulation and Training (Link) division’s AMI Instruments (AMI) organization will produce its 100th complete simulator cockpit assembly. AMI will deliver a new EA-18G simulator cockpit to Link as part of a major subcontract from the Boeing Company through U.S. Naval Air Systems Command PMA-265 for the EA-18G aircraft program.

The simulator cockpit will be integrated with major Link and Boeing systems, producing the first Tactical Operational Flight Trainer for this F/A-18E/F Super Hornet derivative aircraft.

"At AMI we look forward to continuing to deliver high quality simulator cockpit assemblies to support training for complex military aircraft."

The EA-18G training device will consist of separate front and rear cockpit assemblies and associated interface cabinet. The assemblies will be completed and tested individually and as a complete system at AMI’s facility.
