BROKEN ARROW, Okla., November 12, 2009 – L-3 AMI, a designer and manufacturer of electro-mechanical assemblies for training simulators and other applications, announced today it has completed a move into a new 60,000 square foot facility in Broken Arrow, Okla.

The new state-of-the-art facility, located at 3724 W. Vancouver, provides a 60 percent expansion over L-3 AMI’s former location. The simulation company has a long history in Broken Arrow, where they have been located since inception in 1981.

"The number and breadth of projects L-3 AMI is working on today required that we get more space," said Greg Campbell, L-3 AMI’s general manager. "The move to this facility allows us to meet the growing demand for our unique capabilities."

L-3 AMI specializes in production of simulated fixed wing and rotary wing cockpit hardware systems, which include a training device’s associated instruments, interface systems, flight controls, seats, panels, wiring and cabling. In recent years L-3 AMI has grown beyond its traditional aircraft platform customer base to become a key supplier of training equipment hardware used in the maritime and power generation simulation markets.

"There are countless uses for simulated equipment where training on the actual system is either too expensive or operationally disruptive," said Campbell. "Realistic simulated equipment provides training opportunities that enable individuals and teams to hone their skills during both normal and emergency operations."

An ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 registered design and manufacturing organization, L-3 AMI currently employs over 100 people. L-3 AMI has produced over 140 simulated cockpits for multiple aircraft types and training equipment for most U.S. commercial and military fixed wing and rotary aircraft currently in service.

Headquartered in New York City, L-3 Communications employs over 65,000 people worldwide and is a prime contractor in aircraft modernization and maintenance, C3ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) systems and government services. L-3 is also a leading provider of high technology products, systems and subsystems. The company reported 2008 sales of $14.9 billion.
